Marshall Lochbaum Back off far enough, and it starts to look like normal sludge. But there's an extraordinary depth of originality to this album. Crazy melodies, strange timbres, and innovative song structures create a psychedelic experience unique to Dark Castle. Favorite track: To Hide Is To Die.

Nuno Miranda Ribeiro I'm truly grateful to the way this duo have inspired each other to push through, and find still a niche in the doom halls. The hungarian and japanese scales work great. The sound is immersive, deep, heavy. Melodic, eerie and beautiful. Makes me wanna see them live and get my stomach hit with the distortion and drums, and let the intricate notes fill my ears. Great, great band, one of my favorite duos, though I keep forgetting it is just two musicians playing. Favorite track: Create An Impulse.
